Greetings everyone! Mikhailov here with another look at what games we played this week.

It’s been a busy week for our staff, but Nick has managed to get stuck in a maze while Zu plays an “Engaging” title and Shawn plays…..Pokemon?

We’re also interested in what games you’re playing. Use the button below to let us know, and you may be featured in this weekly article.

Nick: Maze Mice

Maze Mice on Retroid Pocket Flip 2 - Nick

Bullet Heaven Roguelites have become my favorite mini-genre that I never knew I needed until Vampire Survivors came along. This latest entry in the genre comes from Luck Be a Landlord developer TrampolineTales, and it’s no less addictive.

Time only moves when you do in Maze Mice. Think of it as something akin to Brotato meets Pac-Man, with a dash of Superhot mixed in. It’s a recipe for long couch sessions of “just one more run”.

Zu: Fire Emblem: Engage

Testing SECRET CONSOLE on the Flip 2.

JaLanimal: Dango Dash

Dango Dash on Retroid Pocket Classic - Jalanimal

It’s a homebrew Game Boy game that has you going on different quests. There’s 2D platforming and even top-down Zelda-like dungeons.

Shawn: Super Mariomon

Personally, I think this handheld was insanely overlooked at release. Not many people even talk about how it may be the best device for GBA with its 3:2 aspect ratio and 1080p resolution allowing for 6.75x scaling, but I digress. The controls were pretty bad on launch units, a lot has changed since then, but more on that later.

Dan: The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening

Zelda Links Awakening on Nintendo Switch Lite - Dan

Like with any Zelda game, there comes a point where I wonder why I’m doing this. Collecting my 4th instrument means that’s the question I ask myself. (The answer is for a GotX point)
